About Mayela’s

Mayela’s brand was born in Colorado Springs but its roots are back in my hometown, La Perla Tapatia, officially known as the City of Guadalajara in Jalisco, México. My passion for food goes back to my childhood where I learned from my mother, who was the oldest of all her brothers. She grew up in a tiny town in Jalisco where she learned to cook in the traditional way with ingredients from the area. When she moved to the city as a little girl, she taught me to create these flavors using classical techniques to create the authentic flavors of Jalisco.
